Job summary

Main Line Health is seeking a Physician Assistant PA-C for Cardiothoracic Surgery at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, PA. The role involves working under the surgeon to support diagnostic and therapeutic tasks, ensuring seamless care from pre- to post-operative stages.

Candidates should have CT surgery experience or be Board eligible, with a BS in a physical science and PA/surgical assistant training, plus ACLS/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years recent experience in cardiothoracic surgery preferred.
• Recent Board eligible graduate acceptable.
• Bachelor of Science in a physical science required; graduate of PA/surgical assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic tasks under surgeon supervision.
• Advocate for patients and coordinate care with the team.
• Manage pre-, intra-, and postoperative care with the CT surgery team.

**This position is eligible for a $15,000 sign on bonus**

**Night shift differential while on a DAY/NIGHT ROTATION: $7.00/hour

**Night shift component of pay while on NIGHTS ONLY: $20,000/year

As a Physician Assistant, you will work under the responsibility and supervision of the surgeon, performing diagnostic and therapeutic tasks to allow the physician to extend their services through the more effective use of knowledge in to establish diagnosis and to plan and implement therapy. You will have a major role being a patient's advocate in the medical system serving as a confidant, advisor, and liaison between patients and physicians. Physician Assistant PA-C - Cardiothoracic Surgery

Shift:

Full time - 40 hours a week - 50/50 DAYS and NIGHTS AND NIGHTS ONLY - weekend, and holiday requirement

Experience:

• Two (2) years recent experience in cardiothoracic surgery preferred.
• Recent Board eligible graduate acceptable.

Education:

• Bachelor of Science degree in a physical science from an accredited institution required.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited physician assistant/surgical assistant program.
• Must complete courses of training for both basic and advanced cardiac life support.

Licensures/Certifications:

• Must be certified or eligible for certification by the NCCPA (National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants) and Pennsylvania State Board of Medical Education and Licensure
