Job summary

UT Health San Antonio is seeking a Physician Assistant - Specialist, Non-Tenure Track to support the San Antonio Heart and Mind Study. The role entails coordinating research activities, enrolling participants, and performing clinical assessments under the guidance of the investigative team.

The candidate should have a PA degree, Texas licensure, and experience with research protocols; Spanish is optional but a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a science field related to duties.
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program and Texas licensure required.
Experience in observational or clinical trial research preferred.

Responsibilities

Supports the investigative team in planning, evaluating, implementing and documenting research.
Screens and enrolls potential study participants.
Obtains medical history from participants.
Performs clinical assessments and data organization for study.
Willing to learn lumbar puncture procedures.
Counsels participants on medical topics and conducts follow-ups.
Maintains study documents and reports adverse events to the PI.
