Qualifications

• Active licensure to practice in the employed state.
• Current Controlled Substance license required on start date.
• Current DEA license required on start date.
• NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and other professionals to build comprehensive rehab plans.
• Conduct patient histories, exams, and diagnostic evaluations to set rehab goals.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans to improve function and independence.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and ongoing education to grow skills.
• Document evaluations, plans, progress notes, and discharges in EMR systems.
• Educate patients and families about the rehab process and post-discharge care.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients with diverse rehabilitation needs
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations, to determine appropriate rehabilitation goals and interventions
• Monitor patient progress closely and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize functional outcomes and promote independence
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and educational activities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of initial evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in electronic medical records systems
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding the rehabilitation process, expected outcomes, and post-discharge care

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Actively Licensed to practice in the state of which employed
• Current Controlled Substance License (required upon start date)
• Current DEA License (required upon start date)
• NCCPA Certificate
• Desire to work in Physiatry/Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
• Orthopedic Experience (nice to have)
• Physiatry Experience (nice to have)
• Skilled Nursing Experience (nice to have)

License/Certification:

• Certified Physician Assistant (Required)
