Montefiore Medical Center, the university hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine, seeks a Physician Assistant to provide patient care on the inpatient pediatric units. Work under the supervision of pediatric chiefs and attendings in a growing quaternary pediatric hospital.
The PA will assess patients, develop management plans, perform venipuncture, lumbar puncture, and other procedures, and educate families on discharge.

We are currently seeking a Physician Assistant to provide patient care on the inpatient units at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, under the general supervision of the Chief of Service of Pediatric Hospital Medicine and the Pediatric attendings. The PA will provide direct patient care to a diverse population with a wide variety of diagnoses, in the areas of general pediatrics and pediatric subspecialties, as well as co-management of patients admitted for post-operative management. The PA will be responsible for clinically assessing patients, determining preliminary diagnoses, implementing management plans, performing tests and standard procedures (e.g. venipuncture, lumbar puncture, suture removal, etc), obtaining and interpreting diagnostic/radiologic testing and consults, and providing patient education and discharge counseling. The PA team works collaboratively with the pediatric resident teams. The PA will be a part of a growing quaternary care children’s hospital focused on providing comprehensive, family-centered care to infants, children and adolescents.
