Job summary

MainStreet Family Urgent Care in North Carolina is seeking a PRN Physician Assistant to support multiple clinics in the region. This role offers flexible shifts and a chance to work across urgent care, primary care, and other clinical settings.

The PA will perform urgent care procedures, assist with minor surgeries, interpret ECGs, review X-rays, and provide care for patients of all ages in a fast-paced environment. Prior cert and degree are required.

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant certification required prior to start date.
• Master’s degree or higher required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• EMR and Microsoft Office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine.
• Minor procedures including toenail removals and foreign body removals.
• Suturing and splinting; general orthopedic evaluations.
• X-ray review with Radiologist over-read; EKG interpretation.
• General dermatology, eye complaints, and GYN care; care for patients of all ages.
• Emergency management skills in a fast-paced setting.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a high-volume environment, and is flexible working with different teams and clinics. New grads are encouraged to apply — haven’t taken boards yet? That’s okay too!

Responsibilities:

• Urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine
• Minor procedures including toenail removals and foreign body removals
• Suturing and splinting
• General orthopedic evaluations and management
• X-ray review (with Radiologist over-read)
• EKG interpretation
• General dermatology, eye complaints, and GYN care
• Treating patients of all ages
• Emergency management skills in a fast-paced setting

Schedule:

• Shifts determined approximately two months in advance

MainStreet Clinic Hours:

• Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

KidsStreet Clinic Hours (select locations only):

• Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Hours are subject to change based on company needs, training, float coverage, etc.
