Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Full Time Physician Assistant to work at our Occupational Health Center located in Clayton, NC. You will be the sole provider with collaborative support from nearby clinical teams.

Responsibilities include exams, procedures, patient education, order and interpret tests, and coordinating care with physicians. Requirements: NCCPA certification, ARC-PA accredited PA program, state licenses, DEA, and 3+ years in ambulatory/occupational health.

Qualifications

• Current NCCPA certification required.
• State licenses to practice in applicable states.
• DEA license (as applicable by state of practice).
• At least three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in ambulatory/occupational health/family practice or ED.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures as per guidelines.
• Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Develops patient care plans and ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans and health maintenance.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies.
• Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed.
• Maintains patient health records with accurate documentation.

What You’ll Do

• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care
• Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, growth and development
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies
• Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed
• Maintainspatienthealth records toensureaccurateandup-to-date documentation andrecords
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Maintains state licenses/certifications to practice
• Maintains Board of Pharmacy Prescribing License (if applicable)
• Current NCCPA national certification required
• Degree from ARC-PA accredited program
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable)
• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• At least three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting
