Job summary

WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible anesthesiologist to join a hospital-employed anesthesia team in Uniontown, PA. This bread-and-butter community practice features six operating rooms, two GI/endoscopy suites, and home call with in-house CRNA coverage 24/7.

The role supports a growing regional anesthesia program with a strong surgical case mix including ortho, general, urology, GYN, GI/endoscopy and ENT; no cardiac or complex pediatric cases are involved.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or foreign equivalent; eligible for Pennsylvania medical licensure.
• Completion of ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency.
• Board certified or board eligible in anesthesiology.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for orthopedic, general surgery, urology, GYN, GI/endoscopy, and ENT cases.
• Collaborate with a true care team model with CRNA coverage 24/7.
• Attend home call with CRNA on-site; after-hours coverage as needed.

WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital is seeking a board certified/board eligible anesthesiologist to join a well-established, hospital-employed anesthesia team. This is a bread-and-butter community hospital practice located in Uniontown, PA with a strong surgical case mix and home call with in-house CRNA coverage 24/7.

Practice Model

• Medical direction model, average 3:1 CRNA supervision ratio
• No solo room coverage – true care team model
• 6 operating rooms and 2 GI/endoscopy suites
• Closed ICU staffed 24/7, located directly across from the OR suite
• Established pre-anesthesia testing program
• Growing regional anesthesia program

Case Mix

• Orthopedic, general surgery, urology, GYN, GI/endoscopy, basic ENT, cataracts
• No cardiac, no craniotomy, no complex pediatric cases
• Clear transfer criteria for high-acuity cases
• Approximately 7,000 annual surgical and procedural cases across OR and endoscopy

Call

• Home call only – 1:4 to 1:5 frequency, CRNA in-house 24/7
• Anesthesiologist called in only as needed for after-hours surgical cases

Qualifications

• MD/DO or foreign equivalent; eligible for Pennsylvania medical licensure
• Completion of ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency
• Board certified or board eligible in anesthesiology
