Job summary

Med Source Consultants seeks an experienced physician for inpatient gastroenterology coverage in a hospitalist-type role in Spokane, WA. The position is weekday-only, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with no nights or weekends and a minimum of 14 shifts per month, each with 8 guaranteed hours.

Fellowship in GI and state licensure with DEA are required. Candidates should perform diagnostic ERCP, endoscopy with biopsy, and a range of GI procedures, with credentialing typically completed in about 90 days.

Qualifications

• GI fellowship completion required.
• Board certification and active Washington license or IMLC.
• DEA registration required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Credentialing timeframe ~90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient gastroenterology coverage in a hospitalist-type role.
• Weekday coverage only, 8a-5p; no nights or weekends.
• Minimum of 14 shifts per month with 8 guaranteed hours per day.
• Approximately 5 patient encounters per shift.
• Perform upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeder.
• Perform diagnostic ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography).
• Esophageal dilatation/manometry and esophageal manometry interpretation.
• Small bowel biopsy.
• Lower GI endoscopy including sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy with biopsy.

• Provide inpatient gastroenterology coverage in a Gastro Hospitalist-type role
• Weekday coverage only, 8a-5p, no nights or weekends required
• Minimum of 14 shifts per month with 8 guaranteed hours per day
• Approximately 5 patient encounters per shift
