Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in New Jersey seeks a dedicated Family Practice Physician to join our Cooper Care Alliance team. You will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals and families across all ages in an outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate will have an MD or DO, NJ license, DEA, BLS/ACLS, and ambulatory care experience. Bilingual skills are a plus, with a commitment to culturally competent care.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of NJ.
• DEA license and current BLS/ACLS certification.
• Experience in ambulatory or outpatient care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based primary care to a diverse patient population.
• Conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Develop and manage treatment plans, including prescribing medications and coordinating referrals.
• Promote preventive care and health education to patients and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health, and specialists.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical meetings.
