Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a graduate degree from an AMA-approved university with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Must hold a current, unrestricted medical license.
• Must be eligible for board certification in the chosen specialty.
• Arizona license is preferred if possible.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional health care services.
• Perform complete physical examinations.
• Collect comprehensive medical and social histories.
• Conduct physical assessments and correlate with history and records.
• Order appropriate diagnostic tests and provide treatments or medications.
• Refer cases to consultants and hospitals as needed.
• Prescribe medications and coordinate care with health services.
• Manage daily clinic operations and conduct daily sick calls.
• Make policy and training recommendations as needed.
• Complete medical intakes and exit summaries as required.

Job description

NEEDED: PHYSICIAN

LOCATION: Tucson, AZ 85756

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have obtained a graduate degree from an American medical Association approved University, with a degree in Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
• Must have a current, unrestricted license
• Must be eligible for board certification in chosen field of expertise that permits him/her to practice and to perform services in any state.
• Preference will be given to a candidate who possesses a current and valid medical license to practice medicine in the state of Arizona.

JOB DUTIES:

• Providing professional health care services the AIC.
• Performing complete physical examinations.
• Collecting comprehensive medical and social history to include a review of all body systems.
• Performing physical assessment in correlation with historical findings, records preliminary objective findings.
• Examining and orders appropriate diagnostic testing and provides necessary treatment and/or medications as required.
• Referring selected cases to consultant specialists when necessary.
• Referring AIC requiring hospitalization to a community hospital and to an appropriate physician.
• Administering or directing administration of both curative and preventive inoculations.
• Prescribing medications, treatments, and fully utilizes health services for treatment, rehabilitation, and diagnostic modalities.
• Managing the daily operation of the clinic and conducting daily sick calls, which may include securing health histories from the patient, recording findings and providing clinical evaluations.
• Making recommendations (only) on matters of policy, procedures, training, personnel, and equipment.
• Performing medical intake, as needed.
• Completing Medical Exit Summaries, as needed.
