Job summary

Liver Institute PLLC is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our clinical team. You will examine patients, collect histories, interpret tests, and collaboratively determine diagnoses under physician supervision.

You will read diagnostic results, explain health outcomes to patients, and prescribe therapies within a coordinated care plan. Travel to satellite clinics around Tucson is required; strong communication and charting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensing required.
• Valid DEA or eligibility to obtain DEA.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with medical terminology, charting, and diagnostic tests.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Examine each patient, take a detailed medical history, and chart everything medically important in their records.
• Read test results, interpret data appropriately, and make diagnostic suggestions based on those results.
• Explain to the patient test results and expected health outcomes.
• Prescribe medication or therapy with a physician overseeing as part of a larger health plan.
• Work closely with the supervising Physician to gain knowledge and learn the practice.
• Traveling will be required around Tucson to cover satellite clinics.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Physician Assistant to join our team! As a Physician Assistant, you will be examining patients, collecting patient medical history, and making tentative diagnoses on minor and major issues. You will also be reading diagnostic tests and reports, interpreting data, taking the time with each patient to explain their test results and medical diagnoses, and prescribing therapy or medication with a physician's approval. The ideal candidate has an excellent bedside manner, experience charting in a medical environment, and has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
