Role Description

This on-site Physician role is based in Gilbert, AZ and may be part time or full time. The Physician will provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, including evaluating and managing acute and chronic conditions, prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing individualized care plans.

At Ark, the work includes getting to know patients over time, listening carefully, and helping them choose practical steps toward better health. The Physician will provide preventive care, wellness visits, and patient education, and will work with clinical and administrative colleagues to coordinate care. The role also includes maintaining accurate medical records, contributing to practice improvement, and communicating clearly and respectfully with patients and teammates.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school and completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related primary care specialty
• Unrestricted Arizona medical license, or eligibility to obtain one, and current DEA registration
• Board certification or board eligibility in an appropriate primary care specialty
• Demonstrated skills in primary care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, chronic disease management, and preventive care
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to listening to patients and explaining medical information clearly
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Comfort with electronic health records and basic digital tools
• Commitment to evidence-based medicine, continuous learning, and quality improvement

Experience in family medicine or Direct Primary Care is highly preferred.
