Job summary

Wilmington Community Clinic in California seeks a full-time physician to provide comprehensive primary and urgent care within scope, reporting to the Chief Medical Officer. Following WCC's protocols and state/federal requirements, you will deliver high-quality care to our patients.

We are open to both part-time and full-time schedules. The Physician will be scheduled primarily Monday through Friday, with one Saturday per month required. Exact hours will be determined after selection.

Qualifications

• General Medicine experience required; internist or family medicine practitioner preferred.
• Licensed to practice medicine in California.
• Maintain CME as required for certification renewals.
• Familiarity with Epic EHR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physician services within scope of license and in compliance with medical services requirements.
• Complete documentation of medical care and review of patient history in the EMR.
• Assess and refer high-risk patients as needed.
• Promote healthy lifestyles with patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention.
• Meet the standard provider productivity as recommended by WCC.
• Provide clinical supervision to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.

About the Physician Position

This is a full-time position and reports to the Chief Medical Officer. The Physician will provide comprehensive direct primary and urgent care within their scope. Following WCC's protocols, policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal requirements for medical services, the Physician will be responsible for delivering the highest quality of care to our patients.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range of a full-time candidate for this position is $220,000 - $250,000. Full-time employees are eligible for the following benefits:

Responsibilities

• Provide all necessary Physician services within scope of license, including prescription and distribution of drugs and medical supplies, supervision or treatment and diagnosis of patients in compliance with all requirements for medical services.
• Complete documentation related to provision of medical care and thorough review of patient medical history on the Electronic Medical Record.
• Assess and refer high risk patients.
• Promote healthy lifestyles by advising patients on diet, hygiene and disease prevention.
• Meet the standard provider productivity recommended by WCC.
• Provide clinical supervision to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
• Continuously monitor and manage problems that require medical follow up.
• Attend monthly provider meetings.
• Participate in QI program.
• Respectfully cares for patients, physicians, staff, vendors, and visitors in ways that reflect the WCC mission and values.
• Complete other duties as assigned in support of WCC’s mission.

Education and Experience

• General Medicine experience required, internist or family medicine practitioner preferred.
• Licensed to practice medicine in California.
• Maintain CME as required for certification renewals.
• Familiarity with Epic EHR preferred.
