Job summary

Mountain Park Health Center is seeking a Physical Therapy Technician to support patient care and therapy sessions in a fast-paced clinic setting. You will assist with intake, set up treatments, guide exercises, and help coordinate care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma or GED and current CPR certification. Bilingual skills (Spanish/English or Somali/English) are preferred to support our diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient intake tasks: interviews patient to obtain reason for visit, history, and chief complaints; performs vital signs and other patient care needs, documents the same to complete the patient intake process.
• Assists in performing administrative tasks.
• Assists patients with exercises during physical therapy sessions.
• Performs prescribed treatment such as application of modalities as directed.
• Reports and records patient’s exercise and progress for the physical therapist.
• Liaises between patients, physical therapist, physical therapy assistants, and other departments.
• Maintains proper levels of supplies in treatment areas.
• Maintains therapy equipment before and after each session.
• Fulfills provider orders within scope of practice and provides patients’ discharge instructions.
• Assists with coordinating the continuity of patient care with internal health departments.
• Identifies and reports any safety hazard or potential hazard, by directly notifying supervisory staff immediately of concerns.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Brief Description

This position is responsible for providing excellent patient care and experience in accordance with Mountain Park Health Center’s guiding principles, HIPAA, and any other applicable federal & state laws. The Physical Therapy Technician (PTT) position requires a basic level of knowledge regarding the functions necessary to becoming a PTT.

Position Qualification

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Current CPR Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous PTT clinical experience.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English or Somali/English)
