Job duties:
Assisting patients in and out of therapy equipment, such as exercise machines, parallel bars, or mats.
Setting up equipment for therapy sessions, including adjusting machines, stocking supplies, and preparing treatment areas.
Monitoring patients while they perform exercises to ensure they are doing them correctly and following the therapist's instructions.
Recording patient progress and updating therapy plans, as directed by a licensed therapist.
Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and greeting patients.
Cleaning and maintaining equipment and therapy rooms.
Reporting and documenting any problems or concerns to the supervising therapist.
Qualifications:
High school degree or equivalent; some college-level coursework in physiology, anatomy or kinesiology preferred but not required.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well with patients and therapists.
Ability to multitask, be organized and handle a high-pressure environment.
Knowledge of basic computer skills, such as using electronic medical records software.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology and experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting preferred.
