Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapy Technician in Middletown, CT to support daily patient care under the supervision of a physical therapist.

You will escort patients, assist with exercises, prepare treatment areas, manage supplies, keep environments clean, and help with documentation while ensuring HIPAA/OSHA compliance.

This role requires a high school diploma and relevant outpatient clinic experience; there are growth opportunities and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in an outpatient physical therapy clinic or personal training setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to treatment areas.
• Observe patients during treatments and report to the physical therapist.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises under supervision.
• Prepare treatment areas and modality supplies.
• Ensure treatment areas, tables, equipment, and gym space are clean and disinfected.
• Maintain machines and report issues promptly.
• Perform deep cleaning of equipment as needed.
• Assist with orientation and training of new technicians.
• Handle supply inventory and check-in of orders.
• Keep supply closets organized and maintain a safe work area.
• Adhere to HIPAA/OSHA regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
