Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Majoring in Kinesiology/Biology/Exercise Science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with designated aspects of patient care to ensure safety and progress.
• Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activities such as ambulation and daily living.
• Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients practicing exercises under professional staff; demonstrate correct form.
• Observe the patient during activities and compile progress on response to treatment.
• Effectively communicate patient progress and reactions to treatment to the therapist.
