Job summary

Spooner Ocotillo in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Technician to assist physical therapists, guide patients through exercises, and help ensure safety and progress in treatment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and eligibility at 18+, with a preference for majors in Kinesiology/biology/exercise science and prior PT tech experience. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 18 years of age or older.
• Majoring in Kinesiology/Biology/Exercise Science is preferred.
• Prior experience or knowledge as a physical therapy technician is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with designated aspects of patient care and serving our patients to ensure safety, successful execution of exercise, and a positive outcome
• Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activities such as perambulation, transfer, ambulation, and daily-living activities
• Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under direction of professional staff, demonstrating correct activity form or function
• Observe the patient during various physical activities designed in the treatment plan, compiling progress on patients’ response to treatment
• Effectively communicate patient progress and reactions to treatment to the therapist

Education

High School diploma or GED

Minimum 18 years of age

Kinesiology/Biology/Exercise Science (preferred)
