Job summary

PIH Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Technician to assist physical therapists with patient care and related tasks. The role supports transfers, modalities, functional training, hydrotherapy and therapeutic exercises in a regional hospital network.

Ideal candidates have on-the-job health care experience and CPR certification preferred. Basic clerical skills may be required for non-clinical duties within the department.

Qualifications

• On the job training as a physical therapy aide or other health care experience is desirable.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Basic Windows and mouse skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists with patient transfers and therapeutic exercises.
• Support modalities, hydrotherapy and functional training as directed.
• Provide clerical support when assigned to clerical tasks.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during sessions.

The primary responsibility of the Physical Therapy Technician assists physical therapists with patient related care and non-patient related tasks.

Required Skills

• Ability to assist the qualified therapist with patient related tasks including, but not limited to: patient transfers, modalities, functional training, hydrotherapy and therapeutic exercises.
• With consideration to age, employee utilizes the approved process to resolve biophysical, psychological, educational and environmental needs of patient/significant others when administering care.
• Clerical skills are required for those technicians being utilized primarily in the clerical area.
