Position Summary:
Are you passionate about supporting patients in their rehabilitation journey? We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Technician to join our team at Professional Therapy Services of Texas. In this role, you'll play a vital role in assisting the physical therapist and physical therapist assistant in providing quality care to our patients. You'll be responsible for preparing treatment areas and equipment, assisting patients during therapy sessions, maintaining the clinic's orderliness, and providing backup support to office staff when needed.
Performance Responsibilities:
● Obtain equipment and supplies and position them appropriately for use.
● Assist therapists in supporting patients during the delivery of care.
● Observe patients during treatment and notify therapists of any distress.
● Perform routine modality treatments as approved by therapists.
● Comply with safety, infection control, and universal precautions policies.
● Maintain proficiency in clerical duties and assist office staff as necessary.
● High school graduate.
● Interest in becoming a PT or PTA, preferred by not required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
● Requires full range of body motion and ability to manage patients with or without assistance.
● Works in environmentally controlled areas and may be exposed to various hazards common to physical therapy practice.
