Job summary

FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Centers Manassas and Heathcote is seeking a part-time Physical Therapy Technician. This role entails assisting therapists in delivering quality patient care and ensuring quick and effective treatment for patients.

Qualifications include prior patient care experience and bilingualism in English and Spanish. The position involves working at both Manassas and Gainesville locations with a flexible schedule of 20-30 hours per week.

Qualifications & Experience

Previous physical therapy technician experience strongly preferred. Prior patient care experience is a must. Bilingual in English and Spanish is also a preference. Must be willing to work at both Manassas and Gainesville locations. Position is part-time, approximately 20-30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists in providing patient care, including direct care as needed.
• Follow all directions from physical therapist to ensure correct treatments and integrate patient goals during sessions.
• Provide non-patient care activities as delegated by supervising physical therapist in an expedient manner.
• Cooperate with physical therapist and physical therapist assistant to ensure patients are treated promptly according to their scheduled appointments.
• Set up, clean, and maintain equipment and treatment areas under supervision of therapists.
• File paperwork and perform miscellaneous office functions as time permits.
• Maintain highest standards of professional conduct, representing the company.

MUST HAVE

1. Ability to multi-task, coordinate & manage patient exercises in a busy clinical environment.
2. Basic foundation of exercise. Ability to properly demonstrate exercise techniques and correct a patient’s form when appropriate.
3. Personable and engaging with patients and staff.
