Job summary

Orthopaedic Associates at the FWB office is seeking a motivated Physical Therapy Technician to join our outpatient orthopedic clinic. The PT Tech will support therapists and patients during treatment sessions and help maintain an organized, patient-friendly environment.

This role offers hands-on experience in orthopedic rehabilitation and learning opportunities in physical therapy. Part-time position (20 hours/week) in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in healthcare, fitness, sports medicine, or customer service is preferred.
• Interest in physical therapy, rehabilitation, exercise science, athletic training, or related field is a plus.
• Comfortable working directly with patients and providing hands-on assistance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Able to multitask in a busy outpatient clinic environment.
• Must follow instructions from licensed clinical staff and recognize when a patient needs additional assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with patient treatment sessions and therapeutic exercises.
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises under the direction of a licensed physical therapist.
• Prepare treatment areas and equipment before and between appointments.
• Assist with modalities and other treatments as directed within training and regulations.
• Monitor patients during exercises and communicate concerns to the therapist.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and treatment areas between patients.
• Help with patient flow and clinic turnover.
• Stock and organize supplies and equipment.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service to patients and families.
• Assist with basic administrative tasks as needed.
• Follow clinic policies and HIPAA/privacy requirements.
• Work collaboratively with therapists and clinic staff for efficient operations.
