Job summary

University of Kentucky in Lexington invites applications for two full-time 11‑month tenure-eligible faculty positions in the Department of Physical Therapy. Appointments begin by July 1, 2027, at rank determined by qualifications.

The distribution of effort is approximately 30–40% instruction, 50–60% research, and 10% service. Primary duties include advancing a rehabilitation/movement science research portfolio, teaching, mentoring students, and collaborating with CHS and UK HealthCare.

Qualifications

• Research expertise in rehabilitation/movement science with focus on neuroscience, rehabilitation, musculoskeletal, or movement science.
• Record of research productivity with strong potential for funding.
• Current physical therapy license or eligibility for licensure in Kentucky (licensure within 90 days).

Responsibilities

• Advance a research agenda in rehabilitation and/or movement science that complements the department and college portfolio.
• Teach in content areas related to your expertise and contribute to curriculum.
• Mentor Doctor of Physical Therapy students and engage with internal/external partners.
