Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• DPT preferred; Bachelor's or Master's degree accepted if licensed.
• Current Kentucky Physical Therapist License.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Minimum three years of clinical physical therapy experience.
• Experience in a Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare setting (preferred).
• Leadership and team-building abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Clinical: Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans and provide interventions across inpatient, outpatient, swing bed, and rehab populations.
• Clinical: Reassess progress and modify plans. Maintain EMR documentation.
• Clinical: Educate patients and families about treatment plans and home programs.
• Collaboration: Coordinate patient care with physicians, nursing, therapy, and case management.
• Management: Direct daily PT Department operations; staff scheduling and productivity monitoring.
• Management: Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective actions; recruit and onboard staff.
• Financial: Develop and manage departmental budget; monitor labor and supply costs.
• Quality/Regulatory: Ensure CMS, state, HIPAA, and infection prevention compliance; participate in PI activities.
• Leadership: Promote patient-centered care; lead departmental meetings and organizational initiatives.
• Additional: Maintain licensure and continuing education; participate in emergency preparedness and community outreach.
