Job summary

Premier Orthopaedics in partnership with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center seeks a dedicated Physical Therapy Manager to oversee our West Chester clinic. The role combines leadership with hands-on clinical practice to improve patient care and operational efficiency.

The manager will supervise staff, develop service plans, manage budgets, and collaborate with physicians to achieve department goals. This is a full-time position with standard clinic hours and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy required.
• Current state PT license required.
• PT certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in physical therapy.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of physical therapy principles and clinical applications.
• Understanding of business and supervisory concepts, including total quality management (TQM).
• Experience in patient assessment and treatment.
• Experience managing budgeting, staffing, scheduling, and quality audits.
• Strong communication skills and ability to establish effective relationships with patients, staff, and administrators.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce written policies and procedures for all processes in the physical therapy department.
• Develop short- and long-term work plans and objectives for all rehabilitation services.
• Collaborate with physicians and administration to achieve departmental service goals.
• Oversee purchasing and supply management for the clinic.
• Ensure employee and patient rights are upheld.
• Utilize all aspects of the clinic’s software system effectively.
• Assist with selection, training, orientation, and supervision of personnel.
• Lead by example and adhere to AEIOU behavioral standards and management expectations.
• Manage day-to-day staffing requirements and conduct scheduled team/clinic meetings.
• Conduct performance management reviews in a timely manner.
• Actively participate in patient assessment and treatment as a Physical Therapist.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
