Job summary

South University in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced instructor to lead the PTA curriculum on campus and online. The role focuses on competency-based education, collaboration with PTA colleagues, and developing teaching practices that prepare graduates for evolving job markets.

The incumbent will establish clear expectations, deliver engaging instruction, manage records and grading, participate in governance, and support campus events while maintaining licensure and professional growth.

Qualifications

• DPT from a regionally accredited university is preferred; a bachelor’s degree is required.
• Minimum three years full-time post-licensure clinical PT experience.
• Experience teaching in post-secondary settings preferred.
• Membership in a professional association preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with students.

Responsibilities

• Provides competency-based education aligned with the PTA curriculum and university delivery model.
• Develops and evaluates PTA curriculum in collaboration with faculty on-campus and across campuses.
• Enables achievement of exit competencies through instruction and assessment.
• Participates in governance and long-term program/university planning.
• Delivers learning-centered instruction and prepares for classes and student success.
• Promotes student success by flexible style and engagement with students in learning processes.
• Manages learning environment by keeping accurate records, submitting grades, and enforcing policies.
• Contributes to learning culture by participating in curriculum/system task forces and campus events.
• Relates professional/industry experience to learning and keeps abreast of trends and opportunities.
• Fulfills duties as determined by the Program Director; participates in faculty development and licensure maintenance.
• Contributes to positive campus culture through events, orientation, graduation, and program meetings.
