HCA Healthcare is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join the Rehabiliation Center at HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital. You will provide patient-focused therapies under supervising PTs, improving mobility, independence, and overall quality of life for diverse patients.

Qualifications

• LPTA license required.
• Associate Degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility.
• Apply physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress and document responses to ensure safe, effective care.
• Teach patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance patient experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility

• Applying physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function

• Monitoring patient progress and documenting responses to ensure safe, effective care

• Teaching patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs

• Working closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience and support a culture of excellence

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• (LPTA) Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant
