Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team in a Skilled Nursing Facility. This full-time role follows the plan of care established by a supervising physical therapist and supports residents through mobility-focused interventions.

We offer a $3,000 sign-on bonus, a comprehensive benefits package, and ongoing mentorship in a state-of-the-art rehab setting. NY-licensed PTAs with geriatric experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Current New York State PTA License required.
• Experience in skilled nursing/geriatric care preferred; new grads with fieldwork welcome.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure and record resident's motor function, strength and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises and techniques such as stretching and massage.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with legal requirements.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient rehab goals.
