Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursue VA PTA license upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow plan of care and PTA procedures as allowed by referral to restore function and mobility.
• Assess patients’ needs and status and tailor care to age-specific requirements.
• Assist and support all team members, volunteers and students.
• Record patients’ progress and report results to the physical therapist.
• Treat patients through exercises, massage, gait and balance training and related interventions.
• Provide patient education on interventions.
