The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for implementing treatment plans tailored to address the functional needs of patients with various diagnoses.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Integrate subjective and objective data to follow established treatment plans.
• Use exercise, physical agents, and manual techniques to address patient deficits.
• Maintain detailed records of services provided, including appropriate coding and billing.
• Communicate effectively with other disciplines and referring providers to improve patient outcomes.
• Perform thorough and timely electronic documentation.
• Demonstrate advanced evaluation and treatment techniques, as evidenced by peer review feedback.
• Participate actively in performance improvement (PI) and continuous quality improvement (CQI) processes.
• Assist in the orientation, training, and mentoring of new staff members.
• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives within the department.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and ensure effective communication among physical therapists, assistants, and physicians.
• Plan and conduct educational lectures and training programs on physical therapy topics for medical staff, students, and community groups.

Education & Experience

Graduate of an accredited program for Physical Therapy Assistants.

Certification/Licensure

Licensed as a physical therapist assistant in WI, IL, or both if required. CPR/BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Additional Requirements

Successful completion of Driver's License and/or Credit Check (if applicable). Background checks for WI Caregiver or IL Healthcare Workers required. Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Work Environment

Typically quiet environment. Occupational exposure: Category A - all partners in this classification have occupational exposure.
