Sigma Health Rehab is actively seeking a per diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Our team provides comprehensive rehab services and values compassionate care in a state-of-the-art setting.

The PTA will follow the plan of care, measure resistance and function, document progress, and assist residents with stretching, massage, and exercises. NY State PTA license is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current New York State PTA license.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure and record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with techniques like stretching and massage, and assist with exercises.
• Maintain resident confidentiality.
• Comply with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship within the healthcare team.
