Job summary

Select Medical in Rochelle Park, NJ is seeking a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for Per Diem hours Monday–Friday between 8 am and 4:30 pm. Compensation is $37.00 per hour with a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

The role supports inpatient post-ICU care at Select Specialty Hospital, performing therapeutic activities and assisting with PT goals. Responsibilities include delivering PT services, following established plans, and helping patients improve strength, balance, and mobility.

Qualifications

• Valid state PTA license.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of physical therapy services including transportation, therapeutic exercises and functional activities
• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the physical therapist (PT)
• Assist the PT in carrying out therapeutic interventions designed to meet the patients’ long-term goals, including strengthening, coordination and balance exercises; posture, endurance/cardiac, functional skills and community re-entry training; joint mobility and muscle lengthening and pain relief
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics or assistive devices

Schedule: Per Diem - Hours Flexible Monday - Friday between 8 am to 4:30 pm (Flexible start/end times)

Compensation: $37.00 per hour
