Job summary

Select Medical in Atlantic City, NJ is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team. The role focuses on delivering PT services under supervision, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and rehab activities to help patients regain function.

The PTA must hold a valid state PTA license and BLS certification by the start date. This full-time position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with competitive compensation based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of physical therapy services including transportation, therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
• Implement treatment goals, plans and programs as established by the physical therapist (PT).
• Assist the PT in carrying out interventions to meet long-term goals, including strengthening, balance, posture, endurance or community re-entry training.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics or assistive devices.

• Assist with the delivery of physical therapy services including transportation, therapeutic exercises and functional activities
• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the physical therapist (PT)
• Assist the PT in carrying out therapeutic interventions designed to meet the patients’ long-term goals, including strengthening, coordination and balance exercises; posture, endurance/cardiac, functional skills and community re-entry training; joint mobility and muscle lengthening and pain relief
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics or assistive devices
