Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - NE NJ Rochelle Park is seeking a Part-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Rochelle Park, NJ. The PTA will assist with delivering physical therapy services, supporting the PT in goals, and helping patients achieve long-term outcomes.

The position requires a valid state PTA license and a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date, with a flexible schedule Monday–Friday 8 am–4:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Valid state PTA license required.
• BLS certification by start date required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of physical therapy services including transportation, therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the physical therapist (PT).
• Assist the PT in carrying out therapeutic interventions designed to meet the patients’ long-term goals, including strengthening, coordination and balance exercises; posture, endurance/cardiac, functional skills and community re-entry training; joint mobility and muscle lengthening and pain relief.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics or assistive devices.

Position: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Location: Rochelle Park, NJ

Schedule: Part-time (20 hours per week) Hours Flexible / Pick up shifts Monday - Friday between 8 am to 4:30 pm (Flexible start/end times)

Compensation: $29.00 to $44.00 per hour

Sign-on bonus: up to $5,000 available

Required valid state PTA license
