Job summary

A Part-Time (24 hours minimum) Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position is available in our sub-acute/skilled nursing rehab department located in Queens in Jamaica, NY. The facility has a 250-bed capacity and serves a mostly long-term care veteran population.

Therapists will perform evaluations, treatments, patient and family education, and caregiver training while collaborating with a diverse multidisciplinary team. Hours are flexible and veterans are a priority.

Qualifications

• Possess a current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license or be license eligible to practice in the state employed.
• SNF/sub-acute rehab experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and experience with electronic documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive PTA services in a sub-acute/skilled nursing facility setting.
• Perform evaluations and treatments, and educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with nursing and rehab staff to support resident independence.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation.

Job Overview

A Part-Time (24 hours minimum) Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position is now available in our sub-acute/skilled nursing rehab department located in Queens in Jamaica, NY. Facility is located in Queens, NY and conveniently located to the LIRR St. Albans station. The facility has a 250-bed capacity with a mostly long-term care veteran population. Therapists will perform evaluations, treatments, patient/family education and caregiver training while working with a diverse and friendly multi-disciplinary team that works well together. Our rehab department is a close-knit community of supportive coworkers and supervisors. Hours are flexible. The veterans we serve are our priority—it's our turn to serve them! SNF experience is preferred and Net Health experience a plus.

Requirements

• Provide comprehensive and compassionate therapy services in a sub-acute/skilled nursing facility setting.
• Work collaboratively with other rehab therapists and nursing staff in a supportive team-working environment.
• Possess a current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license or be license eligible to practice in the state employed.
• Demonstrate strong computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and have experience with electronic documentation.
• Demonstrate good attention to detail and timeliness with documentation.
• Work well with others in a team setting.

Good Faith Rate Range: $28.00 - $34.00
