Job summary

Preferred Therapy Solutions is seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for our sub-acute/skilled nursing rehab department in Jamaica, NY. The role involves evaluations, treatments, and patient/family education within a collaborative multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Provide comprehensive therapy services in a sub-acute/skilled nursing facility setting.
• Work collaboratively with rehab therapists and nursing staff in a supportive team environment.
• Possess a current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license or be license eligible to practice in the state employed.
• Demonstrate strong computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and experience with electronic documentation.
• Demonstrate good attention to detail and timeliness with documentation.
• Work well with others in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations and deliver treatments.
• Provide patient and family education and caregiver training.
• Contribute to care planning with the multidisciplinary team.
• Document progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Support a positive, patient-centered rehabilitation environment.
