Job Details

Position: Physical Therapy Assistant for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Type: Full Time or PRN

Purpose: To assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Physical Therapy services, ensuring high-quality resident care in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Conduct resident screenings to determine intervention needs.
  • Assist in evaluations and treatment planning.
  • Implement individual and group treatments, including muscle strength, mobility, balance, gait training, and modalities.
  • Select and adapt therapy techniques/media as per resident needs.
  • Monitor and report residents' response to interventions.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinate treatment plans with team members.
  • Train residents, families, and staff on equipment use.
  • Participate in education for residents, families, and staff.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in NetHealth EMR systems.
Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state(s) of practice.
  • Commitment to ongoing continuing education and professional development.
  • Unlimited CEU package provided through MedBridge partnership.
