• Position: Physical Therapy Assistant for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility
• Type: PRN

Job Purpose

Assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Physical Therapy services to ensure high-quality resident care, in accordance with applicable standards and regulations, under the direction of the Administrator.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to residents under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Conduct resident screenings regularly to determine intervention needs.
• Assist in evaluations and in setting treatment goals and plans.
• Perform individual and group treatments, focusing on areas like mobility, strength, coordination, balance, gait, and range of motion.
• Assist in selecting and adapting therapy techniques/media based on resident performance.
• Monitor responses to interventions and consult with Physical Therapists for modifications.
• Help establish and adjust resident schedules collaboratively.
• Train residents, families, and staff in equipment use and safety.
• Participate in education for residents, families, and staff.
• Maintain proper documentation in accordance with CMS and organizational standards.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in the practicing state(s).
• Commitment to ongoing continuing education and professional development.
