Job Details

Position: Physical Therapy Assistant for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Type: PRN

Purpose: To assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Physical Therapy services in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, under the direction of the Administrator, ensuring high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide physical therapy services to residents under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Conduct regular screenings to determine intervention needs.
  • Assist in evaluations and treatment planning.
  • Perform individual and group treatments, including muscle strength, mobility, balance, gait training, and modalities.
  • Support the selection and adaptation of therapy techniques/media.
  • Monitor resident responses and consult with Physical Therapists for modifications.
  • Assist in establishing resident schedules and training residents, families, and staff on equipment use.
  • Participate in education and quality assurance programs.
  • Complete documentation in compliance with CMS standards using NetHealth EMR systems.
Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of practice.
  • Commitment to ongoing continuing education and professional development.
