Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Willingboro, NJ is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with no weekends or holidays and compensation ranging from $28.00 to $40.00 based on experience.

The PTA will assist in delivering inpatient post-ICU care, implement PT plans, train patients in mobility and functional activities, and support patients through rehabilitation with orthotics or assistive devices as directed by the PT.

Qualifications

• Valid PTA license in the state.
• BLS certification by start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of physical therapy services including transportation, therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the physical therapist (PT).
• Assist the PT in carrying out therapeutic interventions designed to meet the patients’ long-term goals, including strengthening, coordination and balance exercises; posture, endurance/cardiac, functional skills and community re-entry training; joint mobility and muscle lengthening and pain relief.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics or assistive devices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
