Job summary

Del Rosa Villa in San Bernardino, CA is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will help residents regain mobility and independence through individualized treatment activities.

Qualifications

• Current California PTA license.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Geriatric rehab or SNF experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing physical therapy treatment programs as established by the Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, and other prescribed interventions.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Accurately document treatment sessions and resident responses in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary team members to support resident goals and outcomes.
• Educate residents and family members on exercises and mobility techniques as appropriate.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional treatment environment.

Position Summary

Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant will assist in implementing individualized treatment plans designed to improve residents' mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
