Job Overview

Conducts physical therapy treatment programs under the supervision of a Physical Therapist; effectively communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team. May oversee support staff.

Responsibilities
  1. Provides physical therapy interventions based on the plan of care written by a physical therapist, utilizing standard and possibly specialized techniques suitable for the patient's age and condition. (80%)
  2. Completes documentation to comply with department, hospital, and regulatory standards. (15%)
  3. Participates in departmental initiatives for operational improvement, including committees and educational offerings. (5%)
  4. Performs all other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
Minimum
  • Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Pennsylvania or eligibility for licensure
  • CPR – American Heart Association
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Preferred
  • Current state driver's license
