Qualifications

• Texas State license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association (APTA).

Responsibilities

• Optimize the physical abilities and skills of patients by delivering treatment to achieve identified goals according to the established treatment plan.
• Document progress toward identified goals and communicate patient status to the patient, family, staff, and other professionals as appropriate under the direction of the registered/licensed physical therapist.
• Assist in selecting Physical Therapy techniques/media and in sequencing activities.
• Monitor patient’s response to intervention and consult with Physical Therapist if modification is indicated.
• Adapt treatment under supervision of a Physical Therapist to meet individual patient needs.

Education

Key Responsibilities :

• Optimize the physical abilities and skills of patients by delivering treatment to achieve identified goals according to the established treatment plan
