Job summary

Home&Care in Sheridan, WY seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant to implement treatment plans devised by the Physical Therapist and to provide therapeutic exercises and modalities as prescribed. You will document daily patient care and support department in-services and clinic operations.

Responsibilities include scheduling, infection control, and ensuring compliance with clinical guidelines while supporting a collaborative team environment and ongoing education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA-accredited program.
• Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer Treatment Plans: Implement physical therapy treatment plans as developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Therapeutic Exercises: Provide non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, massage, traction, and various modalities (heat, light, cold, water, and electrical) to patients.
• Document Patient Care: Accurately document daily, weekly, or monthly records of patient care and submit clinical paperwork to the office on time each week.
• Educational Participation: Attend educational meetings and coordinate and contribute to department in-services.
• Report Issues: Notify the Physical Therapist or Executive Director of equipment failures, supply shortages, staff or patient changes, and other departmental issues.
• Scheduling and Office Tasks: Schedule patients and perform various office tasks.
• Infection Control: Apply infection control and universal precautions principles during patient care activities.
• Clinical Assignments: Accept clinical assignments that match education and competence levels.
• Promote Compliance: Promote compliance with fiscal intermediaries and third-party payors through education, coaching, and other assistance as necessary.
