Job summary

Home&Care Home Health is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to support in-home patient care in Billings, MT. Implement treatment plans and perform therapeutic exercises under supervision.

Applicants must have an APTA-accredited associate degree, a current Montana PT license, valid driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation, and CPR certification. Scheduling and documentation duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA-accredited program.
• Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Administer Treatment Plans under supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Perform non-complex active and passive therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Document patient care and submit paperwork weekly.
• Attend educational meetings and contribute to department in-services.
• Report equipment or supply issues to PT or Executive Director.
• Schedule patients and perform office tasks as needed.
• Apply infection control and universal precautions.
• Accept clinical assignments matching education and competence.
• Promote compliance with fiscal intermediaries and third-party payors through education and coaching.

Responsibilities:

• Administer Treatment Plans: Implement physical therapy treatment plans as developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Therapeutic Exercises: Provide non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, massage, traction, and various modalities (heat, light, cold, water, and electrical) to patients.
• Document Patient Care: Accurately document daily, weekly, or monthly records of patient care and submit clinical paperwork to the office on time each week.
• Educational Participation: Attend educational meetings and coordinate and contribute to department in-services.
• Report Issues: Notify the Physical Therapist or Executive Director of equipment failures, supply shortages, staff or patient changes, and other departmental issues.
• Scheduling and Office Tasks: Schedule patients and perform various office tasks.
• Infection Control: Apply infection control and universal precautions principles during patient care activities.
• Clinical Assignments: Accept clinical assignments that match education and competence levels.
• Promote Compliance: Promote compliance with fiscal intermediaries and third-party payors through education, coaching, and other assistance as necessary.

Required Experience/Skills:

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association accredited program.
• Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Current CPR certification
