Position Overview

FULL TIME PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT (PTA)

Estimated Average Pay Range: $25-32/hr

Qualifications

• Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited two-year associate degree program in Physical Therapy Assisting
• Agreement to abide by the APTA Practice Standards/Code of Conduct
• Passing score on the national licensure examination
• Physical Therapy Assistant License (Required)
• Competency in therapy treatment principles, techniques, materials, and equipment utilization
• Knowledge of state and federal accreditation standards
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to travel as necessary

Responsibilities

• Verify client information through interviews, reviewing medical history, and confirming treatment purposes
• Help clients improve quality of life by addressing limitations, assisting injured workers with motor skills, and supporting independence in daily activities
• Implement treatment plans collaboratively with Physical Therapists and educate other team members
• Participate in continuing education for professional growth
• Maintain confidentiality of all medical and facility information
• Accurately document billing and clinical information daily
• Lead interdisciplinary meetings when appropriate to share clinical findings and recommendations
• Ensure documentation compliance under supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Assist in staff and family training, education, and consultations
• Manage supplies by inventorying, ordering, and verifying receipt
