Job summary

Sweetwater seeks a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing therapy department in a newly acquired skilled nursing facility. The PTA will work under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist and deliver care aligned with each patient’s plan of care.

You will collaborate with the Director of Rehab, document progress, and assist in discharge planning while contributing to daily billing per policy.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Kansas.
• Proficiency in PointClickCare (PCC) and NetHealth or similar programs.
• Meet the physical demands of the PTA role.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients according to the plan of care developed by the Licensed Physical Therapist.
• Communicate patient progress and plans to the Director of Rehab.
• Provide therapy as instructed by a Physical Therapist.
• Participate in patient plan of care meetings as requested by the DOR.
• Record treatment notes and assist with daily billing per policy.

Newly acquired skilled nursing facility is looking to grow our in-house therapy department. We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to add to our team.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Qualifications:

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Kansas
• Proficiency in PointClickCare (PCC) and NetHealth or similar programs
• Meet the physical demands of the Physical Therapy Assistant role
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Responsibilities:

• Treat patients according to the treatment plan of care developed by and under the supervision of the Licensed Physical Therapist
• Communicate with the Director of Rehab (DOR) any pertinent information concerning patient progress, concerns, and plans
• Be proficient in therapeutic needs to treat patients based on their presentation and instructions given by a Physical Therapist
• Participate in patient plan of care meetings if asked by the Director of Rehab
• Record treatment notes, progress notes, provide objective input for discharge summaries and complete daily billing of services per policy and procedures.
