Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab is hiring a Full Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to work across Worthington Healthcare Center and Eagle Pointe Healthcare Center in Parkersburg, WV. This in-house team emphasizes patient-centered care and improving mobility and independence for residents.

The PTA will collaborate with the Physical Therapist, participate in education of team members and families, and support a wide range of patient needs across multiple centers.

Qualifications

• A Physical Therapy Assistant Degree from an Accredited Program.
• Hold a valid or pending State Physical Therapy Assistant License.

Responsibilities

• Verifies client information by interviewing client; reviewing and/or recording medical history; confirming purpose of treatment.
• Helps clients improve their quality of life by helping them compensate for limitations, such as aiding injured workers in motor skills and mobility.
• Implements treatment plan through direct treatment and collaboration with Physical Therapist, educating other team members and family.
