Job summary

HealthPRO Pediatrics, a division of HealthPro Heritage, is seeking a full-time Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant in Leonardtown, Maryland. The role offers a 37.5-hour weekly schedule and an immediate start with projected start date September 14, 2026.

You will implement treatment plans, provide direct patient care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support children and families. The ideal candidate holds an Associate's degree in PTA with valid state licensure or eligibility

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or license eligible
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficient with diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and EHRs; proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists.
• Provide direct patient care including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality applications.
• Monitor and document patient progress, report observations to the Physical Therapist, and educate patients and families on treatment protocols.
• Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Work closely with Physical Therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
