Job summary

Maxima Therapy seeks a creative and committed Physical Therapist Assistant to join a transdisciplinary therapy team. The role involves delivering pediatric therapy at clients' homes or daycares, with autonomy to select cases and a flexible schedule ranging from part-time to full-time.

Qualifications

• Licensed PTA with current state license in good standing.
• Ped pediatric therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

Maxima Therapy is looking for creative and committed Physical Therapist Assistants to join our transdisciplinary therapy team comprised of speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, child development specialists, and assistants. The position entails a flexible work schedule, providing individual services to children ages from birth to 3 years of age with varying delays at clients homes and/or daycares. We offer competitive rates of up to $70 per hour*, mileage and toys reimbursement. We also have an excellent benefits package for eligible employees which includes medical insurance, paid time off (PTO) and a flexible schedule.

Schedule:

• We use proprietary software and AI for clinician-client matching
• Clinicians have autonomy to select clients
• Flexibility in scheduling: part-time or full-time opportunities
• Workload range: 10 to 40 hours per week
• Client selection can occur at clinicians convenience

Duties:

• 1:1 treatment in clients homes or daycare settings
• Provide parent education and support
• Collaborate with team members
• Take/submit progress notes as required
• Reliable car, proof of auto insurance, and a valid driver's license
• Proof of immunization records, CPR certification, and current, negative TB test
• Strong work ethic, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; team-oriented
• Previous pediatric treatment experience preferred
• Multilingual speaking/reading/writing skills are a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Therapy activities may require playing on the floor or settings where the furniture is child-sized
• Careful attention to the safety of the client and surroundings is required
• Sudden and quick movements may be required
• Walking, occasional running, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting,
• Reaching above the head, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Sustained physical activity may be required for up to 60 minutes

*Pay Rate: The professional rate for this position is up to $70/hr for time spent in sessions providing therapy services directly to the consumer; drive time and mileage reimbursement will be compensated at the applicable minimum wage and mileage reimbursement rate. The actual wage rate offered will vary based on several key factors including, but not limited to, the candidates skill set, proficiency in relevant languages, years of professional experience, and the geographical location of the candidate.
